Solid Waste

Solid waste consists of municipal waste, commonly known as household and commercial garbage, and construction debris. Approximately 60 percent of this waste is disposed of in landfills. Solid waste landfills contain hazardous toxins that threaten surrounding groundwater and gases that could be detrimental to nearby communities. The Environmental Protection Agency and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act work to ensure that these landfills pose the least risk to the environment.

The primary purpose of a geosynthetic liner is to serve as a gas and liquid barrier to impede the flow of pollution. To protect underlying soil from leachate contamination and to prevent the release of gases and odors into the air, a geosynthetic liner must be properly installed inside and over the landfill cell. Our vast experience and training in the installation of these materials allow us to provide our customers with an environmentally sound synthetic layer efficiently.
